Hey Humbl Fam!
We hope and pray that you are all keeping well in these testing times....
So as promised we will begin providing you all with weekly blogs. This way we can discuss various topics and create a forum for you all to leave comments and further interact with not only us, but others in the community.
We have been blown away by the love you have all shown toward us and the feedback has been vital to help us grow. It has been a blessing to hear so many of your testimonies and we are grateful that you have shared. Your testimonies and kind words have been an encouragement to us.
If you have a question you would like to add, or you notice that one of your questions did not make the blog, then feel free to leave a comment and we can always add to this Q & A later.
So let's get to the questions....
What inspired your brand name?
Our brand name Humbl Thyself was heavily inpired by 2Chronicles 7:14.
So yea, when we did actually come up with the name, we felt instantly that it was the name we were looking for. It defined our vision going forward and it definitely sounded unique.
We go deeper into our brand name explanation in our first blog.
Where do we start on this one.....?
Well the main message of the our testimony that is relevant, is that we were going our own way for many years.
We were the polar opposite of what Humbl represents.
Living a life that was really far from GOD'S commands, blind to the truth and completely lost. Having some knowledge of the truth and believing that GOD existed but not knowing HIM. Bound in sin to the point of wanting out but not knowing how to break loose.
By the mercy of GOD we came to repentance, then baptism in the Name of JESUS CHRIST. Then the receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. This was the point of transformation.
GOD has truly done so much for us. We have found that everything that we want and need is in the WORD of GOD. That's why we want to encourage everyone to keep going back to the WORD.
What's the plan for Humbl Thyself 2021?
The plan. You're going to have to wait and see.
Well if you look at the definition of the word secular, then you would have to say secular music is a no-no. Secular is defined as worldly, temporal, not bound by rules, not spiritual. That definition is definitely a red flag, and it's pretty clear that secular music is not for believers.
The real conversation is to do with discerning what artists fall into that category.
This could be a topic for it's own blog, what do you think?
Is it right to go to war?
That's the question that the leaders should be asking GOD.
GOD'S people asked HIM before they went to war, and so the people of GOD should do the same now.
Are you confident enough to say that you trust those in charge and would be willing to give your life for them?
At Humbl we pledge our allegiance to GOD and GOD alone!
Dating as a believer?
You better be wise on this subject. Remember the flesh is weak, and if you leave room for temptation, then you could make a big mistake.
We shouldn't take GOD'S mercy for granted and we should understand that HE gave us the WORD to guide us in the paths of life.
Yes, you will spend time to get to know a person you have taken a liking to, but many of the practices the world commit to, are simply not in the Scriptures. Such as a physically romantic relationship before marriage.
Let's be very careful and value GOD'S counsel. If we love GOD we will obey HIS commands.John 14:15
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
What is the true way of GOD?
“And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.”Leviticus 20:26
“And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.”1 Peter 1:15-16
"But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy."
(also Ephesians 1:4, Hebrews 12:14, 1Peter 1:15-16, Jude 1:20, Revelation 20:6)
This answer and these Scriptures were shared with us via one of our followers and they are perfect.
When the The WORD Of GOD speaks, just say Amen.
If you get what you want, does that mean its GODS will?
No! Definitely not!
Verses for patience?Romans 15:4
“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”James 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."
There are more we could put up, but would also encourage you to look into the lives of those documented in Scriptures. There is so much to gain from their life stories.
Much love! Until next time....
